The fine follows the life-changing accident which happened in May 2011.
Sansetsu Ltd pleaded guilty to breaching health and safety regulations at a local court last Friday.
Since the accident the company has now upgraded all its guards which would have prevented the accident if they would have been installed at the time.
"When machines are used with very hot plastics, these can be very dangerous," said a health and safety inspector.
"Employers using this sort of equipment need to make sure there is adequate guarding and if Sansetsu had taken the simple and inexpensive step of installing one, then this incident would never have happened."
