Manchester United Player Lucky to Escape Without Serious Injury

Manchester United Midfield star, Nani has revealed that he feels lucky to escape serious personal injury following a tackle from Manchester City player Vincent Kompany's tackle.
Kompany was shown a red card for his controversial two-footed challenge on United's winger during a 3rd round game of the FA Cup at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month.

"I jumped in that tackle. If I didn't jump I might not be here to play. It was a very dangerous challenge. It was two feet," Nani told press.

"
He didn't touch me, it's true - but sometimes you see very bad tackles on the legs and it's just a yellow card. Or no card."

Manchester City's manager Roberto Mancini would not respond to the incident explaining in a press conference that, "he didn't want to talk about it."
