Car accident results in spinal injuries

An accident happened on one of the county’s busiest roads at around 3pm in the afternoon. Emergency services were called, including Fire, Police and Paramedics crews after a Black Mazda and White Citroen Berlingo van collided on a roundabout.

The road had to be closed whilst paramedics provided pain relief and assessed the drivers’ injuries. The driver of the Mazda, a local man, was taken to Hospital with a suspected spinal injury. Although his injuries may be life changing they are not thought to be life threatening. The driver of the other vehicle is not thought to have been hurt.

Police closed the road for four hours whilst crash investigators inspected the crash site.
