Church warden knocked down by Royal Mail van

An elderly Middlewich resident has been accidentally hit by a royal mail van last Wednesday. The victim, a church warden in his eighties, was knocked over on Civic Way at around 10.30 am. The man was taken to Leighton Hospital where his injuries were being treated.

The Police added: “At 10.28am on 26 February 2014 emergency services attended a collision involving a red Vauxhall van and a pedestrian in Civic Way, Middlewich.

“The pedestrian, an 80-year-old local man was taken to Leighton Hospital with a leg injury which he is currently being treated for.”
