Couple spend holiday with ‘mystery’ stomach bug

A couple has decided to take legal action the majority of their relaxing family holiday in Egypt was ruined by a debilitating stomach illness.
The couple in question were on holiday in Sharm el-Sheikh with seven other holidaymakers when they all experienced diarrhoea, sickness, stomach cramps and fever.
The holiday makers want their lawyers to investigate the resorts hygiene conditions at the resort particularly around the food preparation areas and toilet facilities in the hope to find out what caused them to fall so ill and prevent it from happening to others.

So far there have been witness reports from other holidaymakers about seeing rats, unhygienic practices amongst kitchen staff and lukewarm food being served.
“We hoped for a relaxing getaway in the sun, but instead the holiday was a disaster.

We spend a lot of money on our annual holidays and tour operators have a duty of care to their customers that they don’t get sick or injured from any of the resorts that they operate from. It is their responsibility to comprehensively vet their hotels kitchens and sanitary facilities and ensure their customers are safe and well. Food poisoning can be fatal for vulnerable people who have health conditions or woman who are pregnant, so it should not be ignored.

Here at Claimant Law we help those that have found themselves in this situation to claim compensation.
Compensation claims can be made to cover any money that has been wasted or lost due to your illness or accident and can also help cover medical fees, early flights home and more.
