Fork lift truck accident leaves worker injured

A worker had to air-lifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries at work. Emergency services were called at approx. 9.30 am and responded with 2 ambulances and a paramedic response vehicle. After assessing the injured man it was decided that an air ambulance would be necessary due to the severity of the injuries.

An Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “The air ambulance was called to … just after 9.30 am after a man was injured by a fork lift truck.

“The man, aged about 60, was airlifted to ………. Hospital. He was conscious but with potentially serious injuries.

“Two ambulances and a paramedic car attended the scene, along with the air ambulance.”
A Police statement said: “Police are currently at the scene of an industrial incident in ……..Surrey.

“Emergency services were called to a commercial property at the site at about 9.42am on.

“A man in his 60s was airlifted to ……. Hospital …… with serious injuries.

“The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and there are no further details at this stage.”
