Former Premier League striker Peter Ndlovu involved in serious car accident

Former Premier League footballer, Peter Ndlovu who made appearances for Coventry City and Birmingham, has survived a serious car accident which claimed the life of his brother.

The ex-footballer was en route to play a friendly game for the Highlanders Legends team against Victoria Falls when the vehicle he was traveling in struck a tree after one of the tyres burst.

His older brother, who also used to be a football player in Zimbabwe, died in the accident along with a second female passenger.

According to news sources based in Zimbabwe, Adam was driving the car at the time of the accident.

Players and coaches that worked with the player during his career have passed on their condolences including former Birmingham co-owner David Gold who Tweeted, “Peter Ndlovu is one of the nicest footballers I ever met. We are all thinking of you Peter, get well soon.”

Ndlovu is now continuing to recover from his injuries.
