Ladder fall leaves 64 yr old with broken leg

A man had to be air-lifted to hospital by the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance service after breaking his leg in a fall. The accident happened after a ladder, he was using, slipped from beneath him causing him to fall from a height on to the ground below.

The air ambulance crews tended to the 64yr old and administered pain relief and anti-sickness medication to make him comfortable. They then put his leg in a splint and transported him to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield for further treatment.
