Man Cut From Car after Road Traffic Accident in Trowse

A man had to be cut from his car following an accident on the A47 near Trowse this week. 

The crash involving a Volkswagon Bora and a Ford C-max happened between the Trowse junction and the Ipswich Road junction at Bixley. 

Emergency services were called to the scene and fire crews had to used specialist hydraulic equipment to cut the accident victim from his car after it landed in a ditch. 

One lane of the road was closed by police which caused temporary tailbacks. It was eventually cleared at some time after 3pm.

Police say they are now investigating the cause of the accident and have asked anyone with information to come forward to help them solve the case.
