Man in Serious Condition after Motorbike Accident in Edinburgh

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was involved in a motorbike accident in Scotland.

The 66-year-old male was riding his motorbike on the Edinburgh city bypass on Sunday when he was involved in the smash.

His bike and a red Peugeot estate were involved in the collision.

It is thought that both the rider and the driver were heading northbound on the A1 slip road and were both attempting to turn west when the accident happened.

The man was thrown from his bike and emergency services took him to nearby Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to get treatment for the serious injuries he sustained.

No one else was injured in the collision.

Police have now launched a full scale investigation in to the accident and want to speak to an HGV driver or anyone else that saw the smash.

Motorbike accident claim specialists said that the rider could be entitled to compensation if it was proved that the accident wasn’t his fault.
