Man remains critically ill after work accident

A man was injured after a piece of machinery fell on him as it was being serviced.  The man, who is still critically ill, was a part of the servicing team who work in an industrial environment.  At the time of the accident, the team where attempting to service a robotic arm used it the plant.

An investigation is currently in progress by the Health and Safety Executive to find out what exactly happened and who is at fault.  According to reports, the arm like piece of machinery fell onto the worker and trapped him on scaffolding where he was unable to move.

Emergency services were quickly called  and the injured man was taken to a local hospital after being released from the machinery by emergency service teams. He was later transferred to the Hospital for further treatment.
