Restaurant staff assaulted for saying no

Two female members of staff have been allegedly assaulted last week for not allowing a group of diners the table they wanted. The incident happened last Saturday at around 10.15pm when a group of 6 people (3 men and 3 women) entered a well known chain of restaurants in Bath.

The group wanted to be seated at a particular table but were informed that the table they wanted was not available and it is at this point that one of the customers was said to have become aggressive and pushed two of the female staff.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the alleged assault and are currently looking at whether any CCTV images are available to identify the man involved, who is described as white, in his 60s.
