Rider taken to hospital after motorbike accident in Bideford

A man in his seventies was taken to hospital this week after a motorbike accident in Bideford. 

The man suffered neck injuries after coming off his Triumph motorbike in Gammaton Road. 

Police, fire and ambulance crews were all called to the scene, where the rider was placed on a spinal board after being treated at the scene by paramedics. 

Firecrews were called to clean up the fuel spillage that occurred because of the accident. 

it is not thought that any other vehicles were involved in the incident, however Police are continuing their investigations. 

Several motorists who were passing the scene stopped to help out the rider after seeing him lying in the road.
