Teenager Dies in Car Crash on Icy Roads

A teenage girl became one of the first victims of the icy conditions this winter after she was killed in a car accident over the weekend.

The 17 year old was in the back of a car on the way back from a McDonalds restaurant when the driver lost control on a patch of ice and hit a tree.

The driver left the incident without injury and another passenger suffered only minor cuts and bruises.

Another car full of friends from the same group was behind and saw the accident unfold.

Tributes and flowers have now been left at the scene and pages on social network websites have been set up to remember the girl.
