A notorious nightclub in Tottenham is under police spotlight after a spate of fights, one of which resulted in a man to be rushed to hospital with facial injuries.

The latest assault is one of a series of serious incidents at the club in the last four months. One other included the stabbing of a 22-year-old with a broken bottle.

The 35-year-old club owner said that the latest fight broke out inside the venue and then continued in the street after the two men were removed from the building.

“Normally we have one bouncer for 60 people and that night we had 80 people and five bouncers,” he said.

“If people want to fight they will, and even if you take them out they will continue and then it’s the police’s turn.

“I’ve got an appointment with the council next week; it’s not our fault to be honest – it happens in every club, in every borough.”

A spokesperson for the council said that the continued violence at the nightclub was concerning and that there was the possibility of a licence review in the near future.

It is quite worrying when these incidents occur time after time because it creates unrest in the community about when it will happen next.

It is not yet known if any of the men involved in the fight are going to make a criminal injury compensation claim, but industry experts say that with the right evidence, there could be a viable claim.

If you have recently been the victim of a criminal attack, you could be entitled to a criminal injury compensation claim.
