Two people trapped after road traffic accident

Fire crews were called to an incident after there were reports of two people trapped inside their vehicles following a collision.

The accident happened just after 9pm whereby a road traffic accident occurred between a Volvo Estate and a Hyundai Getz and emergency services were called to treat the casualties and secure the accident site.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue machinery to free the two parties involved and they were taken to Hospital via land ambulance.

A police spokesman said:
“Two people were trapped and had to be freed by firefighters before being taken to ….Hospital.

“Their conditions are not understood to be life-threatening and their injuries are suspected to include broken bones.”
