UK Council pays over £15,000 in compensation for injuries at schools.

Students have claimed more than £15,000 in compensation from a UK City Council for personal injuries at city schools, Accidents included one pupil being pushed off a slide, another reacted to an antibacterial spray used for cleaning and another sustained burns to the forearms.

School accidents are becoming more and more frequent and councils are having to pay out the compensation deserved by students who have suffered due to poor health and safety regulations.

Nonetheless, a UK Councillor and Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “Our schools have excellent health and safety records and they take pupil welfare and safety extremely seriously, which is clear from recent figures.

“We would obviously aim for there to be no injuries involving students and will continue to support schools to ensure children learn in the best and safest environments possible.”
