Woman cut free from car after three-car accident

Firefighters from Suffolk had to cut a woman free from her car after she was involved in a three-vehicle accident.

Police were called to the scene at around 8am on 10th December 2012, where an accident with a Ford Transit, a blue Saab and a black Ford Fiesta had occurred.

The incident caused considerable tailbacks along the A14 as far back as junction 54 or Whitehouse interchange.

A spokesperson for the Police said, “Firefighters are in attendance as a lady needs to be cut from her vehicle. Paramedics are also on scene.”

A second spokesperson from the fire brigade explained that the accident victim’s vehicle had to be stabalised and then the roof was removed to allow access to the trapped woman.

She was taken to a local hospital to be treated for neck injuries.
