Woman taken to hospital with whiplash injuries

A woman was taken to hospital after being involved in an accident involving 2 lorries and a cement mixer. The accident happened during rush hour at around 6.30 am and the injured woman was driving a Mini.

Luckily the collision was not at speed so it was not serious and nobody was seriously injured but the driver of the Mini did need to be taken to hospital as a precaution.

The Police and emergency services confirmed that the woman’s injuries were minor but she did need hospital attention to ensure it was nothing more serious.

The roads were closed for several hours whilst fuel and oil were removed from the crash site.
