Workplace accident at Crane plant

On the 6th November a man was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious leg and pelvic injuries in a workplace accident at a Crane plant.

The 57-year-old was hurt when a girder fell on him.  The Great North Air Ambulance was called and paramedics treated him. The employee remains in hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.

The Health and Safety Executive has been informed of and is investigating.
